If you run iOS 17 beta and want to revert to iOS 16 read this: How to remove an iOS beta from your iPhone. For this reason, we would suggest that a beta is not installed on your main iPhone, if you have a spare handset use that to try out the new features. Features may be implemented and then withdrawn, or they may not work properly, the UI can change, and third-party app compatibility isn’t guaranteed. Running even the public beta has its risks though. If you want to try out the developer beta, you just need to register as a developer first. This means you no longer need to be a paid member of Apple’s developer program to get the developer beta. However, in 2023 Apple changed this requirement to include people who have free developer accounts (which previously only gave them access to Xcode and the Developer forums). Previously access to Apple’s developer betas required membership in Apple’s Developer Program, which costs $99 a year.
